Intensive renovation of a 23 story, 490-unit apartment building owned by the Chicago Housing Authority. Scope of work included full soil remediation of the 4 acre site, major landscape improvements designed by Terry Guen Design Associates, a complete renovation of common areas and community rooms, concrete restoration at breezeways, and installation of makeup air systems in all upper floor hallways. Installation of the makeup air units required cutting two 22 story shafts on both side of the buildings and required use of a material hoist.
